Welcome to the Nocturne Modelling Agency blog!  This blog will be used to showcase models’ personal style, promote events we or our partners are doing,  display photography done by our photographers, and whatever pops into my lil head.  I thought for our first post, it would be nice to give you an idea of what NMA is all about.

For a long time now, I have been modelling in SL, although only with primarily mainstream looks.  Given my background in goth, EGL, and victorian, I felt a decided lack in the fashion world at recognizing and promoting “alternative” brands/lifestyles.  I started to toy with the idea of starting a modelling agency that focuses strictly on the non-mainstream fashion realm.  Finally some friends and a business opportunity pushed me to go for it.  At first it was just me and a couple friends modelling for me, but within a couple of months, Nocturne grew by leaps and bounds, as others began to see the need and were encouraged by it.  Although NMA is still very young, I am very excited and thrilled at the prospects and continual support we have in our vision.

I wanted my first post to be light, airy, and girly, because often Nocturne is given the stereotype of being a strictly goth/vampire agency.  This, however, is far from the truth.  Nocturne embraces all the diverse cultures represented in Second Life, from fae/lolis to goth/fetish.  On this blog, the personal style of our models will be represented here, so you too may see something that tickles your fancy.  Also as a way to support these communities in SL, we have started a feed that focuses on these genres.  One thing I will warn you, that also sets us a bit apart…..I am not afraid of sex and showing tasteful nudity.  I intend Nocturne to push the limits of people’s perseptions, and if at any time we have offended you, I am sorry, as that was never our intention, but I will not be sorry for pushing it .  I also will not apologize for anyone’s behavior that isn’t associated with Nocturne.  Everyone is entitled to their own opinion and the freedom to express it.  I’m sure you are now saying “C’mon Voshie, shut up already, just gimme the slurls so I can shop!”.  So here you are, as I’m not big on writing on how things come about.  I’ll leave that to the real writers.  LOL

Also a tip for all you bloggers out there, I would suggest using the Imprudence viewer as it has an extra “Worn” tab, so you don’t have to go searching through inventory again to find exactly what you are wearing.
