As somebody kindly pointed out to me the other day, it’s been 8 weeks since I launched the new Hippogroup for Evie’s Closet.

During that time, I’ve sent about 407,082 separate messages to the old SL Group, advising them of the changes, and hoping my mindless spam would prompt them to make the switch. Unfortunately, it seems many individuals did not receive (or did not note) these messages, and I suppose that’s simply a blindingly clear argument *for* the adoption of a new system.

Today, it was time to bite the bullet and close it down. So I sent one final notice, and am now in the process of gently removing those individuals who did not voluntarily leave the Second Life Group “Evie’s Closet”.

I do apologise for the brilliantly impersonal notification the Lindens have blessed us with, which pops up in your IMs… “You have been ejected from the group “Evie’s Closet” by Evangeline Miles.” It can’t be helped, I’m afraid.

As for the brand spanking *NEW* Group……

HippoGroup Join Terminals are available for your clicking pleasure at the Main Store, and *most* of the other Evie’s Closet locations around SL. Click once to join, and receive a present for your trouble. All notices are sent here, and you can even revisit the signs to browse through past messages, if you suspect Second Life has eaten some.

So I’m posting this blog, in the hope that if you, or someone you know, received an ejection message from me in the last 24 hours, it explains why, and softens the blow just a little.
