Even looking all punky and streetwise, I felt there was a certain naiveté to this look; engendered, perhaps, by the soft, cute skin and uneven, layered hair. Even though I had the look of a street urchin, I still felt as if I had retained some of my childhood innocence…hence the name.
This cute and chunky cut comes courtesy of Diversity Hair [SLurl: Addictive] and is called “Kinka”, which is worn here in plain Black. The hairs here are great quality and, for the price, simply impossible to pass up. I’ve spent more money on less well-designed hair in many places around the metaverse and so I highly recommend stopping in at Diversity Hair. Here, regular hair color packs have 4 hairs each and can be purchased in traditional sets such as Light Reds, Dark Reds, Light Browns, Dark Browns, Light Blondes, Dark Blondes, Blacks, or Greys (which include white hairs); these sell for $L100/pack. The “Naturals” pack includes 6 hairs – Black, Sunshine Blonde, Grenadine Red, Caramel Brown, Cocoa Brown, and Tango Red – and costs $L100. There is, also, the “Not-So Natural” pack. This comes with the non-traditional, fun colors of Gummy Pink, Punky Pink, Raspberry, Violet, Royal Purple, Navy, Turquoise, Eire Green, Lime, and Leeloo; these 10 hairs go for, also, just $L100. Finally, the “Mega” pack, which includes all the colors the store offers, will set you back only $L800.
The skin is another I picked up during my very first visit to Frick [SLurl: Sugar Mill Grove] the other day. As mentioned previously, I learned about Fricka Morgath’s skin store via her Flickr photostream and I absolutely adore this adorable skin, “Cinder”, which comes with two actual skins, Small Lips and Large Lips, which I am wearing (you can see the difference in the two here). This skin set – of which I am wearing the Tan skin tone – sells for only $L30.
The tee, barely seen under the hoodie, is from the “Female Tees” at Here Comes Trouble [SLurl: Troubled City]; the “Dragon” t-shirt – and all others like it - cost $L50 each. The adorable hoodie, which is actually unisex called, is called, simply, “Striped Hoodie”; I am wearing the Brown of four different, available colors (there are also Black, Red, and White) which you can pick up for $L100 each. Each hoodie comes with a number of prim attachments, letting you decide just how you want your stylish hoodie to look while providing custom placement for larger-bodied avatars. These prim attachments include: Buttons, Attaches to Stomach; Buttons, For Larger Avs; Hood w/ Buttons, Attaches to Spine; Hood w/ Buttons, For Larger Avs; Hood, Attaches to Spine; Hood, For Larger Avs; Safety Pins, Attaches to L Forearm; Safety Pins, For Larger Avs. Each hoodie also includes an “extended sleeve” glove. All of that for only one hundred Linden Dollars; that’s really a deal that’s too good to pass up.
I have always found Celestial Studios [SLurl: Celestial City] to be a delightfully well-rounded, little store; one that contains a little bit of everything yet never skimps on quality for quantity. Though they may not specialize in any one thing exclusively, everything you find here is really good quality and uniquely original. The same goes for the pair this pair of “Destroyed” jeans in Black. For $L100 you get 1 pair of underwear (Tight Fit), 2 pairs of pants (Loose Fit/No Prims and Tight Fit), 3 pairs of prim attachments (for Bootcut Leg, Flare Leg, and Skinny Leg).
The shoes you may recognize from the Panarchy outfit a few months back. Or not, as they looked completely different, as you can see. I am glad to be able to use them again with a totally different look just to give you an idea of the versatility of these menu-driven sneaks. Every aspect of them is changeable, from the soles to the tongue, the laces to the eyelet holes for the laces. Not only are there a bevy of colors to choose from for each little shoe part, there are also a number of designs (such as Skulls, Camo, etc.) that you can choose rather than solid colors. These shoes are badass enough to deserve their own post, quite frankly; I may just write such a post one day, in fact. Every time I wear them I am blown away by the choices for customization and at only $L595/pair, the “PornStars® Hi-Top MultiColors” from Urban Bomb Unit [UBU Pornstars @Edgemont] are a steal. Indeed, it’s like getting 100 or more different shoes in one, nifty pair!
Unfortunately, you really can’t see much of the beautiful earrings I have on, and in a way that is alright because this outfit does not do them justice at all. They, part of an equally gorgeous set, made by my friend, Rosie Barthelmess of Sable Rose Jewelry [SLurl: Gallinas] for our mutual friend and neighbor, Bonibaru Navarthana, deserve a much more fitting outfit for their debut on this blog. One, I promise, that will soon be forthcoming. For now, you can see the set – in shades of lovely Lilac and sexy Zen – on my Flickr stream here, modeled by the beautiful Boni herself.
